Dan Navarro - September 16th, 2016

For over 30 years, Dan Navarro has written, sung, played and acted his way through a rich and varied career and he is coming to perform at our house for the 10th time on Friday September 16th! This will be his eighth straight time here as a solo artist and his tenth total (he had two earlier performaces here with Lowen & Navarro).

Dan started his career as a songwriter, most often with Eric Lowen, for artists as diverse as Pat Benatar (the Grammy-nominated “We Belong”) , The Bangles, Jackson Browne, Keb’ Mo’, Dave Edmunds, The Temptations, Dionne Warwick, Dutch superstar Marco Borsato, The Triplets, Austin outlaw legend Rusty Weir and many more.

Dan's solo performances are marked by songs rich with insight and experience, delivered straight-up, with honesty, grace and heart, in his moving and expressive baritone voice. It will be an evening to be remembered! We hope that you will take this opportunity to be a part of something special at our house this September.

If you can attend, here's how we do this ...

We host house concerts to provide our friends (and their friends) an opportunity to come out and enjoy a good show in a comfortable and personal setting. We do this for fun and do not make money on these shows, so we rely on the generosity of our guests to help cover the cost of bringing in the artists and putting on the shows.

The shows are held rain or shine (we have a "party tent") so if you can let us know ahead of time that you will be attending you will be helping us out tremendously in our planning. We'd also highly encourage you to invite as many friends as you can!

So ... if you and your friends are planning on attending, just send us an email with the number of people in your party (with names if possible) and then send us a check to reserve your spot. Optionally, you can let us know you are attending on the Facebook event page (Dan Navarro House Concert at The Youngers).

As far as the show goes ...

We want everyone to have time to relax and visit before and after the concert we ask that everyone bring "finger food" to share and their own beverage to drink. We plan on having either the grills and/or the fryers going for hot appetizers to feast on, so if everyone brings a little food, there should plenty to eat. We will also set up a wine tasting table and will be sharing some of the “Camp Dave Winery” vintages so if you'd interested, bring your own favorite bottle to share!
